Lemon Chiffon Cake






Ingredients

Lemon juice 2 tbsp + 1/2 cups

Sugar powder 1 1/2 cups

Lemon peel grated 2 1/2 tbsp

Maida 2 cups

Baking powder 1 tbsp

Salt 1/2 tsp

Oil 1/2 cup

Eggs separated 8

1/4 cup water




Procedure


  • Put egg yolks in a bowl and beat well

  • Add lime juice and lemon peel grated to it and mix

  • Put the oil and mix well 1/4 cup water to it and mix

  • Sieve refined flour, baking powder, and salt in another bowl

  • Place egg whites in a bowl and beat well

  • add sugar powder to it and mix

  • Add egg yolk mixture to the flour mixture and mix

  • Add egg whites little by little mixing with each addition till everything is incorporated.

  • Grease the baking tray and pour the batter in it and tap it

  • Bake at 180 degrees for 30 minutes in preheated oven

  • Serve with tea or coffee.
