Churros

CHURROS, a tasty deep-fried stick of dough, sugar sprinkled and served with warm chocolate sauce for dipping !! This is very popular in Spain, France, Southwestern United states!! It is simply delicious.

Ingredients

1 cup water

2 1/2 tblsp sugar

1/2 tsp salt

2 tblsp vegetable oil + oil for deep frying

1 cup maida / all-purpose flour

1/2 cup sugar powder

1/4 tsp cinnamon powder

Procedure

• In a pan over medium heat combine water,2 1/2 tblsp sugar, salt, 2 tblsp oil

• Bring it to boil and when it starts boiling remove from the flame and stir in flour until the mixture forms a ball

• Put the dough in a piping bag/ Icing bag and pipe strips into hot oil and fry on a medium flame into light brown in color

• Roll them in a mixture of sugar pdr and cinnamon pdr

• Serve hot with warm chocolate sauce and enjoy.
