Ingredients
1 cup toor dal
1/2 cup chana dal(Bengal gram)
1 chopped onion
1 cup chopped lauki (bottle gourd)
3 tsp ghee or oil
2 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/4 tsp asafoetida powder
1 chopped tomato
2 tsp chilli powder
Coriander leaves for garnishing
Procedure
In cooker put dals and 2 cups water and boil it for 2 whistles
In a Kadai take oil add cumin seeds, turmeric, asafoetida powder, and chopped onion
Saute onion for 5 minutes and put chopped tomato and fry till it becomes a smooth paste
Add all spices and fry
Add this to boiled dal with salt
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with rotis.
