Gobi 65

Gobi 65 is a popular Indian snack made with cauliflower. It is crispy outside and tender inside. A spicy and flavourful snack. It is often served as a starter or a snack. Its spicy kick makes it a favorite among many! This can also be served with ghee rice or jeera rice.

INGREDIENTS :

2 cups gobi cut into florets


Ingredients for the marination:


Salt to taste

3 tbsp curd

1 tsp turmeric powder/haldi

1 tsp ginger garlic paste

2 tsp red chilli powder

1 tsp garam masala powder

2 tbsp corn flour

3 tbsp rice flour


Oil for deep frying


For tempering, you need:

2 tsp oil

A few cashew nuts

A few curry leaves

2 slit green chillies

10 finely chopped garlic cloves


Chopped coriander leaves for garnishing



PROCEDURE:

  • Soak gobi florets in water with salt and turmeric powder for 30 minutes.

  • Drain all the water and wash the florets well. Add all the ingredients mentioned for the marination.

  • Mix well, add a little water if needed. Keep aside for 10 minutes.

  • Heat oil in a pan and deep fry all the marinated cauliflower florets on a medium flame, till they turn crisp.

  • Transfer them to a tissue paper.

  • Heat one pan, add 2 tsp oil. Put cashew nuts, once they turn golden brown, add curry leaves, green chillies, and chopped garlic. Roast till they turn golden brown in colour.

  • Add in the fried gobi and give a good mix, garnish with chopped coriander leaves. And your Gobi 65 is ready to serve.

  • Serve immediately with any flavoured rice or as a starter or snack and enjoy!
