Onion Egg Masala








Ingredients

1tsp oil

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 tsp turmeric powder

1/4 tsp red chilli powder

3 hard-boiled eggs


For the masala;

2 tbsp oil

2medium-sized finely chopped onions

2 chopped green chillies

1 tsp ginger garlic paste

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

1 tsp salt

2 tsp red chilli powder

1/2 tsp coriander powder

1/2 tsp cumin powder

1/2 cup of water

1/2 tsp garam masala powder

1 tsp lemon juice

Chopped coriander leaves




Procedure

  • Peel the boiled eggs and make some light cuts on the egg.

  • Heat one tsp oil in a pan, put 1/4 tsp salt,1/4 tsp turmeric powder,1/4 tsp red chilli powder.

  • Put the eggs and roast them for 3 minutes. Transfer them into a bowl.

  • In the same pan put the remaining 2 tbsp oil.

  • Add chopped onions and saute till they turn light brown in colour.

  • Add ginger-garlic paste and chopped green chillies.

  • Saute well. Now tip in turmeric powder,chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and salt.

  • Fry well and add 1/2 cup of water, give a nice mix and let it boil.

  • Once it starts boiling add the roasted eggs,garam masala powder and let it boil for 5 more minutes.

  • Add lemon juice and mix well. Turn off the flame and garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
