Peanut Chutney with idli

Ingredients

1/2 cup peanuts

2 tblsp chana dal / Bengal gram dal

2 tblsp urad dal

5 garlic cloves

3 red chillies

2 tblsp coconut gratings (optional)

Tamarind for taste

Salt to to taste

1 tsp oil



For the tempering:

2 tsp oil

1 tsp mustard

curry leaves

1 red chilli




Procedure

  • Put 1 tsp oil in a pan, roast separately peanuts, chana dal, urad dal, garlic and red chillies separately.

  • Grind with coconut gratings, tamarind, salt, make a smooth paste.

  • Add water to adjust the consistency, temper with the mentioned ingredients

  • Serve with dosa or idli.
