Red Garlic Chutney

This red chutney is prepared to smear on Masala dosa, especially Mysore Masala Dosa. Smearing this chutney on dosa gives an added taste to the dosa.




Ingredients


2 tbsp roasted chana dal/ hurigadale/ putani

4-5 garlic cloves

4 dry red chillies soaked in warm water for 30 mins

1 tsp seedless tamarind

1/4 cup chopped onion

Salt to taste

Water to grind chutney




Procedure

  • Take the ingredients in a small blender or chutney grinder

  • Add little water and grind to a smooth paste

  • Serve with Mysore masala, paper dosa or any other dosas!!

  • If you don't like the raw smell of onion and garlic then slightly roast them in little oil and use.
