Bamboo shoot vadas

Ingredients


1 cup finely chopped tender bamboo shoots

1 cup soaked dosa rice

1/2 cup soaked toor dal

1/4 cup grated coconut

4 tsp chilli powder

salt to taste

oil to deep fry



Procedure


  • Soak dal and rice for 5 hours

  • Grind with grated coconut to a little coarse batter (add little water)

  • Add salt, chilli powder and chopped bamboo shoots and make vadas and deep fry

  • If you are using brined bamboo shoots then soak them in water for 7-8 hrs or overnight.
