Ingredients
2 boiled and mashed potatoes
1/4 cup fresh green peas
8 palak/ spinach leaves
2 green chillies
1/2 inch ginger piece
2 tblsp besan or cornflour
1 tsp chat masala
1 tsp roasted jeera pdr
1/2 tsp amchur / dry mango pdr
Chopped coriander leaves
Salt to taste
Oil for frying
Cashew nuts(optional)
Bread crumbs
Procedure
Blanch green peas and palak leaves, drain out all the water and crush in the mixer with green chillies and ginger
Put boiled mashed potatoes in the bowl, add crushed palk, peas mixture, besan, salt, amchur, chat masala, jeera pdr, chopped coriander leaves
Combine all the ingredients well, divide into portions and make balls
Flatten the balls and shape into tikkis, roll them in the bread crumbs
Deep fry them till they turn golden brown (you can also shallow fry)
Serve hot with ketchup or green chutney.
