Hara Bhara Kabaab






Ingredients

2 boiled and mashed potatoes

1/4 cup fresh green peas

8 palak/ spinach leaves

2 green chillies

1/2 inch ginger piece

2 tblsp besan or cornflour

1 tsp chat masala

1 tsp roasted jeera pdr

1/2 tsp amchur / dry mango pdr

Chopped coriander leaves

Salt to taste

Oil for frying

Cashew nuts(optional)

Bread crumbs




Procedure

  • Blanch green peas and palak leaves, drain out all the water and crush in the mixer with green chillies and ginger

  • Put boiled mashed potatoes in the bowl, add crushed palk, peas mixture, besan, salt, amchur, chat masala, jeera pdr, chopped coriander leaves

  • Combine all the ingredients well, divide into portions and make balls

  • Flatten the balls and shape into tikkis, roll them in the bread crumbs

  • Deep fry them till they turn golden brown (you can also shallow fry)

  • Serve hot with ketchup or green chutney.
