
Ingredients
2 knol kol / Navil kosu cut into chunks
1 potato cut into chunks
Salt to taste
For the masala paste:
3/4 cup grated coconut
Lil tamarind
2 tsp urad dal roasted in Lil oil
4 red chillies roasted in Lil oil
grind the above ingredients into a semi coarse masala paste
for the tempering:
3 tsp oil
1 tsp mustard
1 sprig of curry leaf
3-4 methi seeds
Procedure
Wash the knol kol, potato chunks and cook in cooker with 1/2 cup water
Transfer in a pan ,add salt,masala paste and give a boil
The consistency should be semi thick
Add the tempering and serve hot with rice and dal!!
You can use any other veggies like,madrs cucumber,cantola,yam,ridgegourd,etc...
