Kokum Solkadi

Kokum is the dried skin of a fruit related to mangosteens. The botanical name of the fruit is GARCINIA. Its outer cover is dried in the sun to get kokum. Nowadays we get kokum syrup also. You can use this for making juice also. This is a part of KONKAN cuisine.




Ingredients


1 cup grated fresh coconut

1/2 green chilli

4 garlic cloves --Grind this with 1 1/2 cups of water and strain

Kokum syrup as per taste



Procedure


  • Put strained coconut milk in a bowl, add kokum syrup to this.

  • Mix well and serve chilled.
