Podi Moong Bean Dosa







Ingredients

1/2 cup Moong/Green gram/Hesarukaalu

1/4 cup urad dal

2 tbsp rice flour

Salt to taste

Oil for cooking dosa


For the topping:

2 finely chopped onions

2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves

You can also add grated carrots

Chutney podi/Molga podi.(optional)




Procedure

  • Put green gram and urad dal in a bowl, wash 3-4 times and soak in enough water for 3 hours.

  • Grind the soaked dal and moong into a fine paste. Cover the batter with a lid and ferment it for 5-6 hours.

  • Before making dosa add salt and rice flour to the batter, add little water, and adjust the consistency of the batter.

  • Heat tava put a ladle full of batter and spread into a thin dosa. Drizzle with 2 teaspoons of oil.

  • Top it with chopped onions, coriander leaves, and chutney podi.

  • Cook dosa on a medium flame till it turns crisp and golden brown.

  • Serve hot dosa with coconut chutney.
