Prawn Talsani is a typical GSB style curry. this is a very spicy and tangy prawn dish that goes well with hot steamed rice, dosa, or idli.
Ingredients
250 gms prawns, cleaned and deveined
2 tbsp oil
7-8 crushed garlic cloves
Salt to taste
For the masala paste
Grind 15 byadgi red chilies, chickpea size tamarind,1/2 tsp coriander seeds, asafoetida, and salt into a fine paste
Procedure
Heat oil in a pan, add the masala paste as required, according to your taste
Fry the masala well for about 5 mins or until the oil leaves the sides
Add crushed garlic, cleaned prawns, salt to taste, and 1/4 cup water
Let it boil, turn off the flame once the prawns are cooked
Serve hot with rice and dal.
