Prawns Hariyali





Ingredients


2 tbsp Oil

2-3 cloves of chopped Garlic

1 sprig of Curry leaves

1 green chili

1 chopped Onion (big)

1/4 tsp Turmeric powder

1/2 tsp Red chilli powder

1/2 tsp Cumin powder

Sale to taste

12 Prawns


For the green paste

Handful Corriander leaves

12-15 Mint leaves

1/2 inch Ginger

6-7 cloves of Garlic

1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds

4-5 Corriander seeds

Pinch of turmeric

1 boiled Tomato

  • Marinate the prawns in turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt. Keep it aside for 20-30 mins

  • Add all the ingredients mentioned for the green paste except the tomato and grind it with some water to make the green paste.

  • Once done, add the boiled tomato and grind again to form a smooth paste.

  • In a pan, heat 2 tbsp oil. Add the chopped garlic and slit green chilli.

  • After 5 mins, add the curry leaves. Once they splatter, add the chopped onion.

  • When the onion turns golden brown, ad the green paste and cook for 5 mins.

  • Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder and lemon juice.

  • Add the marinated prawns and salt to taste.

  • Pour around 1/4 cup of water and let the prawns cook. Make sure you don't overcook the prawns.

  • Finish it off by adding some chopped corriander leaves.

  • Serve it with Ghee rice or Roti.
