Raw jackfruit Drumstick Ghashi / Curry





Ingredients

2 cups raw jackfruit cut into cubes and boiled

2 drumsticks cut into 2 inches pieces and boiled

Salt to taste


For the masala paste:

1 cup fresh grated coconut

little tamarind

2 tsp urad dal and 3-5 methi/fenugreek seeds roasted in little oil

4 dry red chillies roasted in oil

Grind the above into a little coarse paste


For the tempering:

3 tsp oil

1 tsp mustard

1 sprig of curry leaves

3-4 methi/fenugreek seeds




Procedure


  • Put the boiled jackfruit pieces and drumstick pieces in a vessel with salt

  • Add the masala paste and little water and make it boil

  • Temper with the ingredients and serve hot with rice and dal or rasam
