Ingredients
Sabudana/Sago / Tapioca pearl
500 ml milk
2 tbsp Cornflour /Custard powder
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
2 tbsp sabja/basil seeds
2 cups chopped fresh fruits
Vanilla ice-cream
Procedure
Soak sabudana in water for 4-5 hours. Once it is soaked discard water if any.
Soak sabja in water for one hour
Let the milk come to a boil. Mix the custard powder/cornflour with 1/2 cup milk till smooth and keep aside.
Add the sugar and the soaked sabudana to the milk and simmer on a low flame for 5 minutes. Pour the custard mix into the boiling milk and continuously keep stirring till it becomes slightly thick. Remove from fire and keep aside to cool down. Once it is cooled add vanilla essence and mix. Keep it in the fridge for 5-6 hours.
To serve the sabudana delite, take one glass, put chopped fruits,followed by sago custard, bloomed sabja seeds. Repeat these again and put a scoop of vanilla ice-cream, topped with some chopped nuts.
Serve immediately.
