Til Ki Chikki





Ingredients


3/4 cup roasted white til / sesame seeds

2 tblsp roasted peanuts

1/2 cup jaggery

1.5 tsp ghee




Procedure

  • Heat a pan and roast the sesame seeds on a low flame until it becomes light brown and crisp, remove and keep aside

  • Dry roast peanuts, deskin it, and crush it little

  • Heat ghee in the same pan, add jaggery, and cook on a medium flame for 3 mins stirring continuously

  • Boil well till it starts frothing. Drop a spoon of syrup in a bowl of water .it should form a pellet

  • Switch off the gas, add roasted til, peanuts, mix well

  • Put the mixture over the back of a greased thali or smooth stone surface

  • Roll it out thinly using rolling pin/ belan

  • Make cuts using a sharp knife, allow it to cool

  • Once cooled, store in an airtight container.
