Carrot and Potato Upkari

Ingredients


2 potatoes

2 carrots

6-8 tsp oil

1 tsp mustard

3 red chillies

Salt to taste



Procedure


  • Peel potatoes and carrots

  • Cut them into thin square pieces and wash well

  • Apply salt and keep for 20 mins

  • Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add mustard

  • When it starts crackling add broken red chillies and fry for a minute

  • Drain water from the potato and carrots and put in the pan and mix well, cover with a lid and cook till it is cooked

  • Serve hot with rice and dal

  • You can prepare this using the only potato also
