Godu Appo /Sweet paniyaram

Ingredients


1 cup dosa rice

1 1/4 cups puffed rice paddy/laayi/battada araLu

1/4 cup grated fresh coconut

Pinch salt

Jaggery to taste

Cardamom powder

Ghee for cooking appo/paniyaram




Procedure


  • Soak rice in water for 3-4 hrs, wash rice, puffed paddy rice and grind into a fine paste with coconut, salt without adding much water

  • Add Lil water only if needed

  • Once it becomes smooth paste add jaggery powdered and grind again

  • Keep the batter for 3-4 hours and make appo using ghee

  • Add pinch cooking soda if necessary.
