Hyderabadi Paneer Palak Curry





Ingredients


Ingredients to be roasted:


2 cups chopped palak/ spinach

2 tsp oil

1 roughly chopped onion

1 chopped tomato

1/2 inch ginger

4 garlic cloves

2 green chillies chopped



1cup paneer cubes

1/2 cup curd

1 tbsp fresh cream

chopped coriander leaves

2 tbsp ghee or oil

1 finely chopped onion

1/2 tsp red chilli powder

1 tsp garam masala powder

2 tsp Kasuri methi




Procedure


  • Wash palak and chop roughly. Heat oil and fry roughly chopped onion, ginger, garlic cloves, green chillies. Once the onions are transparent add tomatoes and fry for 5 mins

  • Add chopped palak and fry till the leaves are wilted. Turn off the flame and grind it once it comes to room temperature

  • Heat ghee/oil in a skillet add finely chopped onions and fry till they turn light pink

  • Add the ground spinach mixture and fry for about 5 to 10 mins

  • Add salt and spice powders and fry for a minute

  • Now add the curd and mix well. Now drop in the paneer cubes, little water, Kasuri methi and let it boil for 5 mins

  • Check the salt and turn off the flame

  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and fresh cream

  • Serve hot with Rotis, naan or poori.
