Matki Kaalu Palya

Ingredients

1 cup sprouted and boiled matki/ Moth beans

5 tsp oil

1 tsp mustard

curry leaves

1/2 tsp turmeric pdr/haldi

1 onion finely chopped

Salt to taste


To make a coarse paste:

In 1 tsp oil fry

1/4 cup coriander leaves

1 or 2 green chillies

5 garlic cloves till light brown and grind it into a coarse paste.




Procedure

  • Heat oil in a pan, add mustard, when it starts crackling add curry leaves,haldi and chopped onions and saute till transparent

  • Add the ground paste and fry for 5 mins, followed by the boiled matki, salt to taste

  • Cook for 5 mins and serve hot with roti.

  • This sabji goes well, especially with jowar rotis.
