Ingredients
10 Button mushrooms
2 tblsp oil
2 finely chopped onions
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
2 tblsp curds
3 tsp fresh cream
Salt to taste
For the masala paste:
In 2 tsp oil fry roughly chopped 1 onion, 5 garlic cloves,1/2 inch ginger
3 green chillies,8 mint leaves,1 handful coriander leaves,2 lavang, small piece cinnamon .Fry till onion becomes light brown, once it comes to room temperature grind into a fine paste
Procedure
Wash mushrooms, cut into 4 pieces or slices and keep aside
In a pan heat oil, saute onions till they turn translucent
Add turmeric powder, ground masala paste, and saute for a second
Add mushrooms, salt to taste, and 1/4 cup water, let it cook
Once mushrooms are done add curds, fresh cream, and mix well
And your mushroom mint masala is ready to serve
Enjoy with hot phulkas, naan, or paratha.
You can try this recipe with chicken, prawns, paneer, or baby potatoes too.
