Mushroom Mint Masala

Ingredients

10 Button mushrooms

2 tblsp oil

2 finely chopped onions

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

2 tblsp curds

3 tsp fresh cream

Salt to taste


For the masala paste:

In 2 tsp oil fry roughly chopped 1 onion, 5 garlic cloves,1/2 inch ginger

3 green chillies,8 mint leaves,1 handful coriander leaves,2 lavang, small piece cinnamon .Fry till onion becomes light brown, once it comes to room temperature grind into a fine paste




Procedure

  • Wash mushrooms, cut into 4 pieces or slices and keep aside

  • In a pan heat oil, saute onions till they turn translucent

  • Add turmeric powder, ground masala paste, and saute for a second

  • Add mushrooms, salt to taste, and 1/4 cup water, let it cook

  • Once mushrooms are done add curds, fresh cream, and mix well

  • And your mushroom mint masala is ready to serve

  • Enjoy with hot phulkas, naan, or paratha.

  • You can try this recipe with chicken, prawns, paneer, or baby potatoes too.
