Tender Lobhiya Stir Fry / Alasande kalu usli



Ingredients

1 cup tender lobhiya / hasi alsande kaalu

5 tsp oil

1 tsp mustard

1/2 tsp jeera/cumin seeds

1 finely chopped onion

1 sprig of curry leaves

Pinch of hing / asafoetida

3 chopped green chillies

1 tsp lemon juice

Salt to taste

2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves

3 tbsp freshly grated coconut



Procedure

  • Wash lobhiya and cook with half a cup of water and salt to taste in the cooker for 2-3 whistles

  • Heat oil in a pan add mustard, once it crackles, add jeera, curry leaves, green chillies , hing

  • Saute for a while, add chopped onions and fry for 5 mins, until it turns light brown.

  • Now add the boiled lobhiya and mix well

  • Cook for 5-10 mins, garnish with grated coconut, lemon juice, and chopped coriander leaves.
