Aloo Gobi Stir fry




Ingredients


1 medium-sized potato cut into small pieces

2 cups gobi/cauliflower cut into small florets

Salt to taste

4 tsp oil

1 tsp mustard

4-5 methi/fenugreek seeds

1/4 tsp hing/asafoetida pdr

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

1/2 tsp red chilli powder

1 slit green chilli

Chopped coriander leaves




Procedure

  • Put the cut gobi and aloo in water, add salt and keep for 5-10 mins

  • Wash aloo and gobi and drain water from it, keep aside

  • In a thick bottomed pan heat oil, add mustard, when it starts crackling, add methi seeds,,hing, green chilli , Haldi and fry for a second

  • Add gobi, aloo, salt to taste and cook with a lid covered

  • Once it is almost cooked add red chilli powder and toss well

  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves, serve hot with white rice or roti.

  • If you want to have this with roti then add a little garam masala powder.
