Ingredients
1 medium-sized potato cut into small pieces
2 cups gobi/cauliflower cut into small florets
Salt to taste
4 tsp oil
1 tsp mustard
4-5 methi/fenugreek seeds
1/4 tsp hing/asafoetida pdr
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1 slit green chilli
Chopped coriander leaves
Procedure
Put the cut gobi and aloo in water, add salt and keep for 5-10 mins
Wash aloo and gobi and drain water from it, keep aside
In a thick bottomed pan heat oil, add mustard, when it starts crackling, add methi seeds,,hing, green chilli , Haldi and fry for a second
Add gobi, aloo, salt to taste and cook with a lid covered
Once it is almost cooked add red chilli powder and toss well
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves, serve hot with white rice or roti.
If you want to have this with roti then add a little garam masala powder.
