Daliya Khichdi






Ingredients

1 cup daliya / broken wheat

3 tsp oil or ghee

2 green chillies

1 sliced onion

4 crushed peppercorns

1 tsp cumin seeds

1/2 cup veggies (gobi, green peas n carrot)

1/2 tsp ginger garlic crushed(optional)

1/2 tsp turmeric pdr

1/2 tsp garam masala (optional)

Salt to taste

1 tsp lime juice

Chopped coriander leaves




Procedure


  • In cooker heat oil and saute onions till transparent

  • add cumin seeds, pepper, ginger garlic crushed, green chillies,garam masala, and fry for 3 mins

  • Put turmeric pdr, veggies,daliya, salt to taste, and 3-4 cups of water and close the lid

  • Take 3 whistles and switch off the gas

  • After the steam is released open the lid, add lime juice, Lil ghee and garnish with chopped coriander leaves
