Green Peas Rava Idli





Ingredients


2 cup bombay rava / semolina

2-3 green chillies

5-6 curry leaves

1 tsp grated ginger

3 tsp oil

1 tsp mustard seeds

2 tsp bengalgram dal/ chana dal

1/4 cup boiled green peas

Chopped coriander leaves

1/2 cup Cashew nuts

4 cups curds

2 tsp ENO fruit salt

Salt to taste



Procedure

  • Heat oil in a pan and temper mustard seeds, Bengal gram dal, chopped curry leaves, green chilies,ginger, and fry for 3-4 mins

  • Add Rava and roast on a low flame till a nice aroma comes and remove from the flame

  • When it comes to room temperature add 2 cups of curds, salt to taste and mix well

  • After 5 mins add the remaining 2 cus curds, boiled green peas, cashew nuts, coriander leaves, and mix

  • If the batter is too thick add some more curd(don't add water)

  • Grease the idli mould with oil

  • Heat the steamer and keep ready

  • Quickly add the ENO fruit salt to the batter and mix properly

  • Pour the batter in greased moulds and steam for 20-25 mins

  • Don't overfill the molds as they may rise a bit

  • Serve hot idlis with chutney, sambar, or vegetable saagu.
