Moong dal dosa

This is an instant dosa recipe, with minimum ingredients. No fermentation is required for this dosa. Within 10 to 15 minutes you can prepare this dosa. Enjoy this dosa with chutney or sambar.





Ingredients

1 cup moong dal / skinless split green gram

2 tbsp chiroti rava/fine semolina

2 tbsp besan/ gram flour

1/2 inch ginger piece

1 green chilli

Salt to taste

2 tbsp curds

Oil for cooking dosa


Procedure

  • Put moong dal in a bowl. add water and wash it 3 to 4 times. Add water and soak it for 2 hrs.

  • Once it is soaked drain the extra water from dal, and put in the blender. Add rava, besan, green chilli, and ginger pieces to the dal.

  • Grind it into a smooth batter. Transfer the batter to a bowl, add salt to taste, and curd. Mix well and keep aside for 10 minutes.

  • Heat tawa and make thin dosas. No need to flip the dosa. Cook dosa adding ghee or oil, till it turns crisp and golden brown.

  • Serve hot dosa with coconut chutney or sambar.
