Gulla Bajo/Brinjal Pakoda





Ingredients



1 Mattu Gulla/ Green Brinjal

Salt to taste

Oil for deep frying


For the batter You need:

3/4 cup besan/ chickpea flour

1 tbsp rice flour

2 tsp red chilli powder

1/2 tsp hing powder

Salt to taste

Pinch of cooking soda

Add water and prepare a smooth, thick batter with the above-mentioned ingredients




Procedure

  • Cut the stem of brinjal, cut into 2 pieces and make thin slices, and put in water

  • Wash the brinjal slices, apply little salt to it

  • Heat oil, dip each slice in the prepared batter, and deep fry the Bajo /pakoda

  • Serve hot with coffee or tea.
