Jaggery Coconut Burfi





Ingredients


1 cup fresh grated coconut (take only white part)

3/4 cup jaggery

2 tsp ghee

3 tsp white sesame seeds/ til dry roasted

2 tsp cardamom powder



Procedure


  • Blend the coconut gratings without water, put it in a thick bottomed pan

  • Add the jaggery and roasted sesame seeds and start heating

  • Keep on stirring continuously on a medium flame, take care the mixture doesn't turn brown

  • Once the mixtures come together and become a maas and start to leave the sides of the pan, add the cardamom powder and mix well

  • Spread on a greased plate and cut into the desired shape, decorate with the cashew nuts

  • Once it comes to room temperature store it in an airtight container.
