Rice Appo/Paniyaram

Ingredients


4 cups dosa rice

1 cup urad dal

3 tsp methi seeds

1 fistful / mushti cooked rice

Oil for cooking dosa

1/2 tsp cooking soda (optional)

Salt to taste



Procedure


  • Soak rice, dal, and methi seeds in enough water for 5- 6 hrs, wash and drain the water

  • Grind the soaked dal, rice mixture in the mixer with cooked rice into a smooth batter

  • Keep overnight in a warm place for fermentation

  • Next morning, add salt, soda mix well

  • Heat paniyaram tava and make paniyarams adding oil

  • Cook both the sides and serve hot with coconut chutney and sambar.
