Sweet Corn Palak Sandwich

Ingredients


8 slices of bread

1 tblsp butter

1 tblsp garlic

1 chopped onion

1/2 cup sweet corn kernels

1 cup finely chopped spinach/ palak

1 tblsp cornflour

3 tblsp cold milk

Pepper pdr as per taste

Salt to taste

1/2 tsp oregano

2 tblsp grated cheese

Butter for the roasting sandwich




Procedure


  • Heat butter in a pan, add finely chopped onion, garlic and saute until onion turns transparent

  • Add corn kernels and saute for few more seconds

  • Add spinach and cook till they wilt, add salt as required

  • Reduce the heat, add cornflour, mix well and add the milk. cook stirring continuously

  • When it starts thickening turn off the flame

  • Add pepper powder, oregano, grated cheese, and mix

  • Spread the prepared mixture on the bread slice, cover it with another slice of bread

  • Butter the outside of the bread slices and grill it on tava or bread toaster until crisp and golden brown

  • Serve hot with ketchup.
