Drumstick Fritters






Ingredients

3 drumsticks

Oil for deep frying

1/4 cup rice flour for coating



For the masala paste:

2 tbsp rice flour

1 tbsp red chilli powder

1/4 tsp hing/asafoetida powder

Salt to taste




Procedure


  • Wash drumsticks and remove the skin. Cut the drumsticks into 2-inch pieces.

  • Apply little salt and keep aside.

  • Mix rice flour, salt, red chilli powder and hing, add water little by little and make a thick paste.

  • Mix cut drumsticks with this chilli paste. Mix well so that all the pieces are well coated with the paste.

  • Take rice flour on a plate. Heat oil in a kadayi.

  • Roll each drumstick piece in the rice flour. Deep fry them in the preheated oil on a medium flame.

  • Fry till they turn crisp and golden brown. Transfer them on tissue paper.

  • Serve hot with rice and dal.
