
Ingredients
2 ghosale/ ridge gourd/ heere kaayi
1 potato
4 tsp oil
1 tsp mustard
1/2 tsp hing/ asafoetida
3 green chillies slit
Salt to taste
Procedure
Wash and remove the skin of the ridge gourd, and cut into pieces
Peel the potatoes and cut into small, thin slices
Heat oil in a pan,add mustard, when it crackles, add hing and green chillies
Fry for a second,add potato slices,1/4 cup water and cook with a lid covered
Once it is half done, add salt and chopped ridge gourd,mix well and cook till it is cooked
Serve hot with rice and dal
