
Ingredients
1 cup gobi/cauliflower cut into florets
Salt to taste
Oil for frying
FOR THE BATTER:
1/2 cup besan / Bengal gram flour
3 tsp rice flour
1/2 tsp hing/ asafoetida
Salt to taste
1 tsp red chilli powder
Pinch of cooking soda
Take all the ingredients in a bowl, add water and make a semi-thick batter and keep aside
Procedure
Put the gobi florets in the water, adding some salt for 20 mins
Wash the gobi florets well and drain all the water, add a little salt and toss well
Heat oil in a Kadai, once it becomes hot, dip each floret in the batter and deep fry on a medium flame till it becomes golden brown and crisp
Put the fried pakodas on the tissue paper
Have it hot with tea or coffee and enjoy..
