Tomato Shyavige/ Shevaiya

Ingredients


1 cup sevaiya

4 tsp oil

1 tsp mustard

1 chopped onion

1 chopped tomato

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

1 tsp red chilli powder

1/2 tsp chana masala pdr or any garam masala powder

Salt to taste

Chopped coriander leaves




Procedure


  • Heat oil in a Kadai, add mustard, once it starts crackling, add chopped onions

  • Saute onions till it becomes transparent, followed by chopped tomatoes

  • Fry the tomatoes till it becomes mushy

  • Add the spice powders and fry for a minute

  • Now drop in the shevaiya / vermicelli, salt to taste and mix well

  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
